The Motorola Moto G has a 4.5-inch display offering HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels). It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Performance is taken care of by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, assisted by 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 graphics.

Storage and Camera

The Moto G is available in 8GB and 16GB storage variants, but unfortunately there isn't a microSD card to expand memory further. Nevertheless, it offers USB OTG, which allows users to connect a flash drive for external storage. 

It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and also has a 1.3MP front camera. The cameras offer features like face detection, touch to focus, geo-tagging, HDR and panorama.

Connectivity and Battery

The Moto G's connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, A-GPS and FM Radio. A non-removable 2070 Li-Ion battery fuels the phone.

Customisable covers

The Moto G supports a wide range of back covers and shells, which come in a variety of shapes and colours. These back panels are manufactured by Motorola itself, although there are a bunch of third-party accessories available as well.

The Moto G is actually a trimmed down version of the Moto X. It is priced affordably without compromising on features. The customisable back covers let users personalise the phone according to their preference.
