Gionee Elife E7

Gionee Elife E7 is a 5.5 inch LCD capacitive multi touchscreen 16M color display phone with 1080 x 1080 pixels resolution. It runs on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by 2.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm 8974C processor with 3 GB RAM capacity. The device also comes in another configuration with 2.26 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB RAM.

Camera and storage

The Gionee smartphone comes with 16 MP primary camera and 8 MP secondary camera. The camera features LED flash, full HD video recording and autofocus. It has a 16/ 32 GB ROM memory and there is no option for expanding the memory.

Connectivity and Battery

Gionee Elife E7 features 3G/ 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB port, NFC and GPS for the connectivity. The battery is 2500 mAh Li-ion battery for uninterrupted usage of the phone for longer time.

Verdict

Gionee Elife E7 is smartphone from Gionee in Elife series with many good features. It is an ultra slim phone with extra large display. While the display size is great for media buffs, people with small palm might find it uncomfortable to use. The powerful processor lets you do multitasking with speed like never before. The 16 MP rear camera would be great for shutterbugs, while an 8 MP camera at front would offer high quality video calling.

Apple iPhone 5S

The iPhone 5S comes with a 4-inch Retina display, which has a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. Below the sleek exterior, Apple has included its A7 chip, making the iPhone 5S the first smartphone in the world to have a 64-bit processor. Working alongside the A7 is the M7 motion co-processor, which tracks and processes information from the various sensors of the device.

Camera and Storage

Apple has provided the iPhone 5S with an 8MP iSight rear camera with a TrueTone flash and Hybrid IR filter to appease shutterbugs. A 2MP FaceTime camera can be used for both video chatting and taking 720p HD videos. The iPhone 5S comes with 16GB/32GB of internal storage.

Connectivity and Battery

The iPhone 5s offers 4G LTE support, as well as Bluetooth, NFC and microUSB connectivity. An additional plus is its ability to stream video to Apple TV (2nd and 3rd Gen only). The Motorola Moto G has a 4.5-inch display offering HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels). It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Performance is taken care of by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, assisted by 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 graphics.

Storage and Camera

The Moto G is available in 8GB and 16GB storage variants, but unfortunately there isn't a microSD card to expand memory further. Nevertheless, it offers USB OTG, which allows users to connect a flash drive for external storage. 

It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and also has a 1.3MP front camera. The cameras offer features like face detection, touch to focus, geo-tagging, HDR and panorama.

Connectivity and Battery

The Moto G's connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, A-GPS and FM Radio. A non-removable 2070 Li-Ion battery fuels the phone.

Customisable covers

The Moto G supports a wide range of back covers and shells, which come in a variety of shapes and colours. These back panels are manufactured by Motorola itself, although there are a bunch of third-party accessories available as well.

Verdict

The Moto G is actually a trimmed down version of the Moto X. It is priced affordably without compromising on features. The customisable back covers let users personalise the phone according to their preference.
